What's new
- The Interlock. The device wired into a machine's starter or operator-presence circuit is now called the Interlock in the admin console, in the notifications and emails PreStartGo sends, and across this website and the Support Centre.
- The Tracker. The planned tracking device is now called the Tracker. It is coming, and isn't on sale yet.
- GoTag keeps its name.
Why
The older names were short technical codes. One of them was easy to mistake for part of a phone, and the other meant nothing to a customer. The new names say what each device does.
What hasn't changed
- The hardware. Nothing about the device, its wiring or how it works has changed.
- The label on the device. It still carries its certified model number, PSG-SIM-2285, and its older printed name. If your label doesn't match what you read here, the glossary explains both.
- Your records. Every machine, device and pre-start keeps its history; only the words on screen changed.
See Interlock overview for how the Interlock works.
