Overview
All PreStartGo pricing is published ex GST — GST is calculated and added on every invoice, at the standard Australian rate. Billing runs monthly in advance through Stripe, our payment processor, with every charge itemised.
Before you start
- Plan
- Any paid plan (Plant Operator has no plan fee — only device subscriptions bill)
- Role
- Account Owner, for billing changes and to see invoices in the console
Finding your invoices
Past invoices live in your organisation's billing settings in the console, and a copy is emailed to your billing contact as each is issued. The billing settings open a secure Stripe-hosted portal for your organisation — invoices, payment method, and billing details all live there.
What appears on an invoice
| Line | What it is |
|---|---|
| Plan fee | Contractor, Builder, or Hire — the month in advance |
| Device subscriptions | Itemised by device type and quantity, with prorations for mid-cycle changes |
| Add-ons | Any active add-ons — developer platform, SMS, and so on |
| Discount | Your annual-prepay or contract-term discount, where one applies |
| GST | On the lot |
Hardware purchases — Interlocks, Trackers, GoTags — are invoiced separately from the recurring subscription: one-time charges, not monthly lines.
Updating billing details
Payment method, billing email, and company details (including your ABN) are managed from the billing settings. Changes take effect from the next charge — and updating a card before it expires is the one-minute job that prevents the whole next section.
If a payment fails
A failed payment notifies your organisation's owners, and retries follow. A single failure doesn't cut anything off on the spot — but an unresolved one moves the organisation to past due, which makes the console read-only until payment recovers. The full story, including what a lapse means for unlocking machines: What Happens If a Subscription Lapses.
Recovery is immediate: a successful payment restores full access with no further action.
Edge cases
- Currency — all billing is in AUD.
- Annual prepay invoices once a year in advance; everything else stays monthly.
- Sales-led plans (Builder, Hire) bill through the same machinery once set up — the sales conversation changes how you start, not how invoices work.
- Historical invoices remain available after a plan change or cancellation — the billing record doesn't reset.
Troubleshooting
| Symptom | Likely cause | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Invoice email not arriving | Billing contact out of date, or spam | Update the billing email in billing settings; allow the sender |
| An unexpected amount | Prorations from mid-cycle device changes | The invoice itemises them — match against commission/release dates |
| Console suddenly read-only | The organisation is past due | Update the payment method — access restores on payment |
| Need an invoice re-issued or a statement | — | Contact support with the invoice number |
